As part of Burnet’s Christmas on the Square, the Republicans of Burnet County have a float in the Christmas parade this year. Our theme is “Wise Men Still Seek Him”. Come join the fun! The parade begins at noon, and the festivities continue until 9 pm.

This workshop is open to the public and is your opportunity to learn and ask questions regarding the proposed Bell County East to Big Hill 765,000 volt transmission project of LCRA/ONCOR electric transmission line traversing through Burnet County if approved. Burnet County officials will gather to read the Declaration of Independence at the Veterans Memorial by the County Courthouse, 220 S. Pierce St., at 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 3rd. The public is welcome to attend the ceremony.

The May meeting of the Burnet County Republican Women Club will feature BCRW scholarship recipients for this year & guest speaker Tom Maynard, State Board of Education District #10. The meeting will be held at The Reed Building, 402 E. Jackson St., Burnet 78611. Registration begins at 11:15, and the meeting runs from 11:30 to 1:00.
